Who it is for

The daughter in Ballwin, or Kirkwood, or St. Charles, who left a job she liked to care for her mother full time and has not had a Saturday since. She is not a patient and she is not a lead. She is doing several jobs' worth of hours for no pay, and at 2am she needs permission to be tired, a number for the first four hours off, the honest money doors, and a backup plan for the day she is the one who is ill. Search results for caregiver burnout are mostly written by clinics and national chains. This desk is written to her.

Who publishes it

Burned Out Daughter is published by OwnersFirm, a St. Louis company that builds reference sites. It is not a clinic, a charity, a care agency or a government program, and it has no clinician on staff. That is why pages carry a desk byline and why every clinical question is sent back to the doctor who actually treats your parent, or to yours.

How it is sourced

Program rules and phone numbers link, in the sentence where they appear, to the public page that owns them: Medicare, the National Institute on Aging, the VA, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Aging Ahead, the Family Caregiver Alliance, the Alzheimer's Association and others, all listed with dates on the sources page. Where the money comes from

The two companies are separately owned. The placement is named in the footer of every page: a slot on the home page and a short note after each read. Nothing else here is paid for.

What the form does

There is one form, in the home page slot. It asks for a name and an email, with a phone number optional, and it goes only to New Plan Care Solutions, which contacts people only in the way they choose. It is not the place for a diagnosis, a medication or any health detail. There are no analytics tags or advertising pixels on this site.
